Sell your house in Portugal
Selling a house means looking at the building, the land and how both are used. Show us the property in its current condition and tell us your priorities for price, timing and handover.
Describe both the house and the land
Interior photographs are only part of the picture. The roof, façades, access and outbuildings help explain the maintenance needed and how the property is used.
- Address and access to the property.
- House and plot areas, stating where each measurement comes from.
- Floors, rooms, outbuildings, garage and outdoor spaces.
- Water supply, drainage and heating, where known.
- Completed works, work still needed and available documentation.
A review before you start renovating
If the house needs renovation, you can present it before commissioning the work. Identify known problems and send photographs of the affected areas. The review should take those conditions into account so you can compare an offer with your other options.
Differences between the property and its documents
Tell us about extensions, outbuildings or alterations that do not match the documents you hold. Any differences should be clarified before agreeing purchase terms. We do not promise completion without the necessary checks.
Price, timing and handover
Your asking price is a starting point for the discussion. A concrete offer should also cover payment terms, the allocation of costs and the handover date. If you need time to move, tell us during the first conversation.
House purchase enquiries throughout Portugal
You can submit a house in any part of Portugal, including the islands. Give us its exact location and access details so we can discuss how to assess it. A village house, detached home, semi-detached property and holiday house each have different features. We aim to understand the actual property and your priorities, without applying a single regional price or promising an identical completion time to every owner. The arrangements for a viewing will depend on the location and the people involved.
Old, vacant or renovation properties
A house that has been empty for a long time may need a more detailed description. Mention the roof condition, signs of damp, visible cracks and installations that are not working. If you hold surveys or quotations, tell us when they were prepared. You do not need to start a renovation simply to request an offer. Clear photographs and information about previous work allow us to discuss a sale in the current condition, subject to assessment and checks on the property.
Land, gardens, outbuildings and separate structures
When selling a house with land, identify everything you intend to include: a garden, yard, garage, storage rooms or other buildings. Tell us whether you have a plan and whether the boundaries are clear on site. A building used as a home, a ruin and an ancillary structure should not be presented as equivalent. If you want to sell only the land or separate part of the property, explain that intention; whether it is possible needs to be checked before any arrangement is proposed.
Water, drainage, energy and access
Describe the services present and what you know about their operation. A service available in the road is different from an active connection within the property. Explain whether access is direct, shared or depends on crossing another parcel. Photographs of the entrance, track and boundaries help prepare a viewing. If a technical point is unknown, say that it has not been confirmed. There is no need to replace missing information with estimates that could give a buyer the wrong impression.
Inherited houses and several owners
If the house comes from an inheritance or belongs to several people, explain who is coordinating the process and whether there is agreement in principle about selling. Mention occupants, contracts and known charges as well. A purchase depends on suitable checks and agreement with the people who need to participate. We do not treat a verbal indication as evidence that all documents are ready, or set a completion date without considering matters that still need to be resolved.
Plan your move and compare sale proceeds
A quick sale needs to work with the handover of your home. Tell us if you need to remove furniture, organise a move or coordinate the sale with another purchase. Check which items remain, the handover date, payment terms and expenses allocated to each party. You can compare a direct offer with an estate agent sale using the same information. The advertised price alone does not explain the overall outcome, and an agreed timetable should reflect the practical arrangements that matter to you.
How to present your house
Start with the location, areas, a few interior and exterior photographs and the amount you hope to receive. Contact Venda Rápida on +351 910 593 550 to discuss any missing information.
Frequently asked questions
Can I submit a house with land?
Yes. Identify the house area, plot area and outbuildings separately so the whole property can be assessed.
Can I request an offer for an old house?
You can submit an older house and describe its condition. Each property is assessed individually.
Is the selling timeline the same for every house?
No. Documentation, property condition, the agreements needed and formalisation all affect the timeline.
